It’s hard for every mission in GTA Online to be a hit when it comes to challenges, stories, and fun. However, when missions come to a complete halt because they suck the joy out of the game, they become a major problem and a glaring flaw in an otherwise great game.
GTA Online has a lot of tedious missions by design, and even though they’re an integral part of the game, they can’t be very fun to play.
Some missions in GTA Online lack challenges, interesting objectives, or activities within the mission. These missions in GTA Online commit the cardinal sin of being absolutely tedious, and it’s hard to justify their existence.
1) Yung Ancestor Prep Mission for Diamond Casino Heist
The only saving grace for Yung Ancestor’s Prep Mission for the Diamond Casino Heist in GTA Online is the fact that it’s optional. Even diehard fans of the game will find it hard to justify the existence of this mission.
While it’s obvious that the mission is meant to be a practical joke about the player and protagonist of GTA Online, that doesn’t change the fact that it’s boring.
The mission is basically to drive the player from one point to another to get rid of Yung Ancestor’s car. The fact is that as soon as the player is about to reach a destination, he receives a call from YA asking him to take the car somewhere else.
This makes the mission extremely frustrating, and since there is no challenge like the police or other enemies, it makes it even more boring.
It’s a great example of great missions on paper, but not in reality. Even though the mission involves flying, helicopters and police, it can still be quite boring and tedious to get through.
The mission involves the player stealing a Cargobob and then trying their best to evade the police. The problem is that the Cargobob is as nimble and fast as the world’s fastest turtle and can barely withstand police helicopters.
Dodging the police becomes a major task players might not have expected, and it doesn’t feel like a challenge as much as a chore.
There seems to be a recurring pattern with Heist setups in GTA Online, so almost all of them seem extremely tedious. While they’re certainly meant to be that way, making the actual heist more interesting doesn’t make them less boring.
The Pacific Standard – Convoy setup mission has a special place reserved in hell for how terribly boring and absolutely horrible it can be when trying to do it with randoms. The mission is quite difficult, to begin with, but then boils down to being frustrating more than anything.
The mission is to steal a truck from Merryweather after ambushing them. If that sounds like a ton of challenge, that’s because it is, but the problem is that it’s also tedious – which isn’t a great combination in GTA Online.
This only applies if the player owns an operation in rural San Andreas and selects a sell mission in the city. Due to these bad choices, players have to go all the way to deliver goods at a slightly higher rate than usual.
Selling in town from the rural section is an absolute bore as there isn’t much players have in terms of challenge. They are ruthless if the player does not have a nozzle or air assist while on missions in GTA Online.
Much like all of the other resident DJ assignments for the nightclub, Dixon is pretty consistent with the others, in an absolutely annoying way. The mission is to hunt down a thief with Dixon’s bag and retrieve it for him, then quickly take him to the nightclub.
The mission doesn’t have much to do with it anyway, but once players play it, they’ll realize how much of a slog it is in GTA Online.
