A “Kick Ass” DLC on the character of Trevor
Joe Robino, former lead artist at Rockstar, revealed that the studio is working on standalone DLC for GTA 5, centered on the character of Trevor, played by Steve Ogg. According to Joe, this DLC was “terribly awesome”, and would have provided an incredible experience for fans of the game.
Reasons for cancellation
When GTA Online was released, it was a huge success and became a real cash cow for Rockstar. This success pushed the studio to put Trevor’s DLC aside. Joe explains that despite the money already invested, the studio preferred to focus on enriching GTA Online, which caused some frustration among the developers involved.
