Wondering how many courses are left to complete in New Pokemon Snap? Well, there are currently a total of fifteen different ones for players to unlock and complete. In order to progress through New Pokemon Snap, you will need to take at least twelve courses, however, three optional courses can be taken.

Start a new Pokemon Snap (Tutorials)
The new Pokemon Snap starts with a few tutorials, but we have additional instructions and tips for all items and mechanics.
After completing a few tutorials, you’ll start at the park.

The following lists all levels in New Pokemon Snap with guides on how to unlock all levels and items.
Florio Natural Park (day)
First, take the Florio Nature Park (Day) course as instructed.
Tip: how to use the scanner
The scanner will mark important things in a course, including Pokemon that might otherwise be hidden, new paths, objects of interest you can photograph, and ancient ruins you can also photograph and add to your Photodex!
Return to the park (day) and increase its research level to 2 to unlock Florio Natural Park (night). It shouldn’t take much, just focus on taking great photos of new Pokemon
Florio Natural Park (night)
After leveling up the Park (Day) course to Research Level 2 (or, potentially, doing this course twice), you will unlock Park (Night).
In the Florio Natural Park route (night) or at the Illumina spot, take a photo of a crystal clear room as it shines. Use the scanner to identify this mystery plant – it’s in the flower field near the end of the trail on the right. You’ll need this photo so you don’t have to go back later!
Florio Illumina Spot Natural Park
The Florio Nature Park Illumina Spot has a single Illumina Pokémon, this time Meganium! Your objective is to take pictures of this Pokémon while it displays the Illumina phenomenon, in other words, when patterns glow on its body.
The next course will unlock after reaching research level 2 in all courses in Florio Natural Park!
Belusylva – Founja Jungle (day)
After reaching Research Level 2 in all courses in Florio Nature Park, Todd will come to the Research Lab with his assistant. You will unlock the Founja Jungle (Day) course on Belusylva Island.
Reach Founja Jungle (Day) Research Level 2 to unlock Founja Jungle (Night)
Belusylva – Founja Jungle (Night)
Your first task in the Founja Jungle (Night) course is to take a photo of a glowing Crystabloom. Find this Crystabloom next to a Quagsire on the right, across from the waterfalls near the end of the course.
Now get both Founja Jungle courses at Research Level 2 to progress:
You can choose to go to either one first, but we continued with the sultry sands (day).
Voluca – Choking Sands (Day)
The Sweltering Sands (Day) course will unlock after reaching research level 2 for both Founja Jungle courses.
Then, level Choking Sands (Day) to Research Level 2 to unlock Choking Sands (Night)
Choking Sands (Night)
The Sweltering Sands (Night) course will unlock after reaching Research Level 2 for Sweltering Sands (Day).
You have two objectives for Sweltering Sands (Night).
Voluca – Volcano Fireflow
Get Sands (Night) at Research Level 2 to unlock the Fireflow Volcano.
Raise the Fireflow Volcano to Research Level 2 to unlock the forest elsewhere

How to Unlock Fireflow Volcano Illumina Spot
After raising the Fireflow Volcano to Research Level 2, start the trail again to reveal a new route to a cave with blue lava. Here, Typhlosian will take you through a different ending path, unlocking the Fireflow Volcano Illumina spot.

This Illumina spotlight includes two Volcarona – both with Illumina designs. Take photos of these Pokémon while their patterns glow in order to submit your photos to Professor Mirror.
Belusylva – Forest Elsewhere
Unlock the Forest Elsewhere by raising the Fireflow Volcano to Research Level 2.

Level up the Elsewhere Forest to research level 2 to unlock the Elsewhere Forest Illumina spot.
Elsewhere in the Forest Illumina Spot
This Illumina spot features the magnificent Milotic.
Complete this course to unlock a photo course in the research lab.

The [./Research_Camp Research Camp Photo Course] is entirely optional, but packed with Pokemon you won’t otherwise see!
Maricopia – Blushing Beach (Day)
Unlock Blushing Beach (Day) by leveling Founja Jungle (Day) and Founja Jungle (Night) to Research Level 2.
Raise Blushing Beach (Day) to Research Level 2 to unlock Maricopa Reef (Day).

Lentic Seabed – Underwater
Once the Undersea course is unlocked, you will finally be able to unlock Illumina Orbs for Maricopia.
A sleeping Lumineon (Blue Fish Pokémon) will cover the crystal room among the seaweed on the right near the start of the course. Wake him up by throwing a fluffruit at him, then take the photo of the crystal factory.
How to Unlock the Maricopia Illumina Spot
Raise the underwater course to research level 2, then start again. Watch the Clawitzer at the start of the course wander into a cave to the left – toss Illumina orbs at it as it prepares to fire. This will power him up enough to destroy the rocks here – scan this to choose the alternate path. You can also raise Undersea to research level 3 to automatically access this path, but this is a much longer task.
Completing this alternate route will unlock the Lental seabed Illumina spot.
Slow Seabed Illumina Spot
The Lental Seafloor Illumina Spot features Whishiwashi, both in Solo and School forms. Only photos of Whishiwashi in her school form (when she’s grown up) and glowing with the Illumina phenomenon matter.
Hint: Turbo With Turbo, you can speed up to see certain Pokémon behaviors and interactions up close! Also use this feature to speed up a course to reach a specific point if you are only looking for a specific Pokemon.
Durice – Shiver Snowfields (day)
After taking photos of the four Illumina Pokémon: Meganium, Volcarona, Milotic, and Whishiwashi, a fifth island will be revealed – Durice – with its first course, Shiver Snowfields (Day).

Optional: blushing beach (night)
Blushing Beach (Night) is an optional course, but you can find the full guide and a list of Pokemon on the Blushing Beach (Night) page.
Outaway Cave
Raise the Outaway Cave to Research Level 2, then replay it to automatically take another path to unlock the final island – Aurus and the final full course.
Aurus – Ruins of Remembrance
Remembrance Ruins have cystabloom flowers of all colors – take a shot of the first crystalloom near the start of the course to unlock a new type of Illumina Orb for Aurus.
With the Illumina Orb in hand, return to the Ruins of Remembrance and light the five Crystal Flowers inside the ruins. They are near the Pokémon Illumina statues.

After illuminating the Crystal Factory in the Ruins of Remembrance, a new path will unlock, allowing you to visit Illumina’s final spot.
Optional: Maricopia Reef (evening)
After shooting the last Pokémon Illumina, Maricopia Reef (Party) will become available.
