Finding these items and completing the Ancient Armory side quest will unlock the powerful Shield Weaver armor, which makes Aloy nearly invincible for a time while wearing it. The Power Cells are shown below in the chronological order in which they can be obtained during the main quest line.
Power Cell 01: Underground Bunker
The first Power Cell can actually be found by exploring the open world after completing the prologue as Young Aloy. Return to the ruins where you found your Focus device and retrace your way through the barracks and down the stairs until you come to a closed door.
Leverage to open the door in front of you and cross the offices to return to the floor. At the top of the stairs you’ll find a room with a door blocked by rock formations to your right – use your spear to smash the rocks and grab the power cell on the desk.
Power Cell 02: All Mother Temple
The next Power Cell can be found in the Temple of the Mother of God in Mother’s Watch during the Mountain Womb quest, right after completing The Proving. After finding your gear and talking to Matriarch Teersa, walk through the hall to the locked door before following her out of the fortress.
Next to the locked door is an open ventilation duct – go through it to enter the room beyond the door and collect a power cell.
If you didn’t collect the Power Cell during the quest, you can return to Mother’s Watch at night to return to the All-Mother Temple. If you go there during the day, the door will be locked. NOTE: If you’re going to Mother’s Watch quickly, you’ll need to walk/run to the bridge outside of town before the gate opens.
Power Cell 03: Maker’s End
The third power cell can be found in Maker’s End, initially during the story quest of the same name. Once you’ve scaled the F.A.S. building to the office in Faro – towards the end of the mission – you’ll want to scale the tower on the east end of the office to the tip of the skyscraper.
Pick up the power cell and rappel down.
Power Cell 04: The Grave Hoard
The next cell can be collected from the mission to and called the Grave Hoard. After descending into the ruins, you will need to open an electronic lock by resetting three mechanisms to continue the mission.
Once the lock is opened, you’ll find this power cell lying on the floor on the other side of the door.
Power Cell 05: GAIA Prime
The last power cell can be found in the ruins during The Mountain That Fell mission. After talking to Sylens in his workshop, descend the elevator shaft and rappel down into the ruins.
Before following your objective marker to the right, turn left and walk north. Climb the rubble ahead of you and head into the blue-lit cave ahead of you.
On a shelf in the back room you will find the last power cell.
