Twitch superstar Felix “xQc” Lengyel has defended himself after killing a cop in Grand Theft Auto V Roleplay, with many fans believing the conduct could lead to another NoPixel server ban.
xQc streamed GTA RP extensively with the release of NoPixel 3.0, but had a strained relationship with NoPixel and even got banned from the server four times. Bans can be imposed for a number of reasons but, in the case of xQc, was primarily due to his consistent violation of the rules.
Back on the servers after his last ban, it didn’t take long for another controversial situation to arise.
Cops in GTA RP have been at the center of xQc’s controversies, and are once again.
His fourth ban, on April 18, was supposed to last 30 days, but was reduced by NoPixel. So he was able to get back on the servers on May Day and quickly killed a police officer – the kind of behavior that has seen him banned in the past.
After he was arrested and had $7,000 confiscated from him, he confronted the (in-game) police office responsible for it. After a short encounter, he opened fire on the policeman.
Some viewers immediately thought it might risk another ban, but it probably won’t live up to expectations, as it could be justified as reasonable role-playing.
xQc also said the cat telling him what to do helped with his decision.
“I think the cat ‘don’t do that, play the game like I want you to play’…it’s like f**k off,” he says, explaining why he killed the cop. “You will probably get banned, oh for killing a cop? After telling him for 10 minutes? It is of course banishable, I’m done, it’s over. »
His early comments were tinged with sarcasm, but he explained in a second clip, “I gave him [the cop] a chance to talk about it and we absolutely couldn’t find common ground. He could see my anger…he could have defused on purpose. “
Whether there is another ban in sight for xQc is unclear at the time of writing, but he clearly believes his in-game behavior was justified. Only time will tell if NoPixel sees it the same way.
