Mods can be slotted into weapons or armor – depending on the mod type – and some mods are class-specific, while others are available for all classes. It’s best to figure out which mods will improve your chosen playstyle and which mods can improve the skills and abilities you tend to use more.


Mods also come in three tiers: the higher the tier, the more difficult enemies you’ll need to defeat to earn gear containing those mods. Tier 3 mods, for example, come almost exclusively from Expeditions.


Weapon mods are mods that can improve your character’s attack or defense when using a particular weapon in combat. These mods can be used by any class.


Tier 1 Weapon Mods

Killer Medic


Lethal shots replenish the health points of allies within a 5 meter radius of the target. (1 second cooldown).


Stock of life


Reloading restores the health points of each enemy killed since your last reload without changing weapons. (1 second cooldown).


Proliferation


Shooting enemies affected by a status condition inflicts that status on the nearest enemy (1 second cooldown).


Ricochet


Shots ricochet off another enemy within 5 yards of the original target (1 second cooldown).


Sovereign of leeches


Lethal shots increase Weapon Leech by 20% for 20 seconds.

Tier 2 Weapon Mods

Mobile Perpetuum


You instantly refill your magazine if you kill an enemy with 35% or less ammo remaining in your magazine.


Resistor circuit breaker


Shots decrease your target’s resistance by 35% for 6 seconds (1 second cooldown).


Snowsquall


Reloading the weapon inflicts Freeze status on enemies previously damaged by this weapon without changing it (1 second cooldown).

Vortex Chamber


Reloading a weapon inflicts Slow status on enemies previously damaged by that weapon.


Tier 3 Weapon Mods


Tier 3 weapon mods can be found almost exclusively in late-game and late-game Legendary weapons, and in Expeditions.


Anomaly Mutation


Shots at enemies affected by any status condition multiply and turn into another (1 second cooldown).

Lethal shots teleport another enemy to where the previous one died. Works within 25 yards of the target.

Lethal shots turn enemies into an anomaly bomb, dealing reduced damage (1 second cooldown).


Decomposition Explosion


Critical hits cause explosions that inflict Toxic on enemies in a 5 yard radius (1 second cooldown).

Shots damage 4 enemies within 6 yards with anomaly blades, dealing stagger damage (4 second cooldown).


Focus Burst


Killing shots cause enemies to explode and deal damage times up to 6 enemies within 5 yards of the original target (1 second cooldown).

Deadly Disruption


Critical hits activate an unstable anomaly effect on your enemy, causing them to explode, dealing reduced damage to other enemies within 5 yards (3 second cooldown).

Shots mark enemies. When reloading, deal 3x weapon damage to each marked enemy. Marks are removed when you change weapons.


Murderous madness


Lethal shots increase this weapon’s damage by 25% for 20 seconds. The bonus decays over time and stacks up to 3 kills.


Kinetic stomp


Shots create a seismic shock around you, dealing staggered damage in a 5 yard radius (3 second cooldown).

Reloading causes a small explosion that inflicts Vulnerable and deals increasing damage to enemies within 5 yards (6 second cooldown).


Ravenous Locust


Shots create a swarm of locusts, dealing damage over 10 seconds and inflicting Weakness on enemies within 6 yards of the target (8 second cooldown).


Sandstorm


Shots cause a sandstorm, dealing damage staggered over 5 seconds (5 second cooldown).


Scrap Grenade


The first shot after a reload becomes an Anomaly projectile, dealing staggered damage in a 5 meter radius (1 second cooldown).

Singularity


Killing shots creates an Anomaly singularity. When destroyed, the Singularity explodes and deals increasing damage to enemies in a 6.5 radius (6 second cooldown).

Shots connect up to 5 enemies within 5 yards of the target and deal increasing electrical damage to each of them (2 second cooldown).


Ultimate Anomaly Surge


Critical hits generate a blast of anomaly energy that deals staggered damage in a 2 meter radius (1 second cooldown).


Ultimate Ash Balls


Shots inflict Ashen status on enemies (1 second cooldown).

Critical hits cause an explosion, dealing stagger damage and inflicting burning status on enemies within 5 yards (3 second cooldown).


Armor mods are mods that can improve your character’s attack or defense regardless of your current weapon, and can also improve each skill in different ways.


Tier 1 Devastator Armor Mods


Level 1 armor mods can be found on the rarest and sometimes unique weapons found early in the game.

These Devastator class mods are grouped by the skill they buff.

Earthquake – Grants scaled armor points for each enemy affected by the skill. The effect lasts 10 seconds and stacks up to 10 times.
